Escape to the Historic Village of Canowindra for a weekend of  art , food + wine tasting

Enjoy a tailored Art Class by Sydney Artist Trish Crampton.

Experience the boutique organic vineyard of winemaker Antonio D’Onise – 

wander through the vines while sampling his wines .

Visit the studio of local photographer Kate Barclay + see her amazing + unique collection of vintage finds + homewares .

Located in the beautiful countryside of Central NSW, 

the perfect opportunity to relax + stay in a historic country house.

Friday 

Early check in from midday to relax on the veranda with a cup of tea and wander around the Spring garden .

Check out the Historic Gaskill Street with Perennial Nursery + Emporium + Finn’s Store with their eclectic range of homewares.

Friday evening sundowners around the firepit with complimentary antipasto of local produce. Then a walk to the local pub for casual dinner - always fun! (not included in package).

 

Saturday Morning

Those who like an early morning walk to enjoy the country air + spring scenery, walk across the main John Grant Bridge around south Canowindra coming back via the Swinging Bridge return to Marlow House for a light breakfast before preparing for the Art Workshop hosted by Trish Crampton from 10.30 am for 3 hours of creativity, expression + individuality. An introductory level to the beautiful techniques of Still Life Art, with all art supplies + equipment provided.

Trish studied printmaking at Sydney College of the Arts, then went on to attain a diploma in teaching in Wagga Wagga. Having taught in high schools for over 30 years, ran workshops for 10 years, painted + drawn her entire life, she has a wealth of knowledge to share. She is very grateful to be able to pursue a creative path daily.

“This art workshop is a chance to play + create in a fun country environment. We will explore a few different painting techniques to create cards + tags to take home plus a finished acrylic canvas painting.”

 

Saturday late afternoon

Following your creative activities you will be taken to Studio2804 to see Kate Barclay’s collection of vintage finds, followed by a walk through Antonios Wine organic vineyard while you taste the wine + learn about the growth + production of organic wine.

 

 Saturday evening

A local chef will delight you with a delicious 3-course dinner prepared using local fresh produce served in the Marlow House dining room.

 

Sunday

A relaxed start with a delicious cooked breakfast with fresh local produce served in the garden.
