"Growing up in rural NSW has provided me with a rich source of subject matter and the opportunity to develop a strong imagination and sense of the surrounding environment in which I live. Much of my work is informed by attempting to draw and paint the human figure in its many forms, and the relationship of people to their environments. I believe the environments we inhabit physically, socially and emotionally, manifests in who we are.
My teaching style includes one on one plus a flexibility to allow individuals to explore, experiment and play with techniques and media. Along with some guidance to step outside their comfort zones when relevant. And importantly have fun in the process."
The Wallingtons moved from Sydney to established their vineyard in 1990. Since Anthony’s death in 2003, Margaret and her 4 daughters have continued to produce carefully crafted wines and have embraced the principals of organic and biodynamic agriculture. On their 400ha property, they also grow olives and raise sheep and cattle.
Winemaking and tastings take place on site in their unusual Straw Bale Winery.
